EASTERTON
EQUINE ACTIVITIES CLUB BENEFITS FROM SPORTSMATCH
The recently
formed Equine Activities Club at Easterton Farm, near Auchterarder will be
able to offer a wider variety of equestrian related activities to schools
and other members thanks to an award under the sports sponsorship scheme, SPORTSMATCH, to match sponsorship of £10,000
from Ross Offshore Consultancy Ltd.
Funded
by the Scottish Executive and administered by sportscotland, SPORTSMATCH was launched
in 1992 to encourage businesses to sponsor community sport projects. Today,
SPORTSMATCH partners a wide range of businesses of all sizes,
matching their sponsorship £ for £ and publicly acknowledging their contribution
to sport in the community.

Ross hands Ann Hunt the cheque for £10,000
Ross Offshore Consultancy noticed the valuable work that the EEAC were doing with school children through gymnastics on horseback and on hearing about the loss of their biggest vaulting horse last Autumn, offered sponsorship towards the purchase of a replacement horse. This will allow an increase in the number of children that could be offered the opportunity to participate in the exciting sport of equestrian vaulting. The three vaulting horses at Easterton are also available for riding tuition and the new horse would be an additional schoolmaster for more people to develop their riding skills.
“Have a go days” offer opportunities to try the sport.
The SPORTSMATCH award will allow much needed equipment to be purchased to enhance the experience of vaulters and riders alike. It will enable the Club to purchase gymnastic equipment, a large trampoline, vaulting equipment, equestrian equipment, a set of jumps, dressage markers, and talking headsets etc. It will also go towards running more coaching courses and training courses.
