Who
can vault Vaulting has developed into
a sport for people of all ages, from recreational
to a World Class sport in its own right. Vaulting,
or Gymmnastics on the back of the moving horse, encompasses
three sports loved by young people, gymnastics, dance
and the contact with the horse.
It is a winner.
Young
people from about 6 years old either to learn
to ride or just to vault. Up to 18 for International
competitions.
All
ages for National competitions.
Adults for fun and to improve their riding skills.
People with disabilities.
Youngsters who do not normally have access to
horses. The Group shares the horse.
How
to start coaching
Find
a qualified coach to act as mentor.
Visit
existing club to see how sessions are run.
Become
a member of BEV
Ltd. This will give you insurance cover.
Attend
some Level 1 training days.
Develop
skills and confidence in lunge work.
Where
to start
If
there is an affiliated Club nearby this is the easiest
way.
Look
up existing Groups in Scotland on the Scottish Equestrian
Directory.
Arrange
to spend some time with qualified coach and their
Group
Visit
Level 1 training course at Easterton. Bring interested
children to learn as well.
